The URI SEC, Spectra Venue Mgmt. & the Ryan Center is excited to announce Stephen Colbert will be coming to Kingston on Oct 2nd for URI Alumni & Family Weekend.

Stephen Colbert is an American comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host. He is best known for hosting the satirical Comedy Central program The Colbert Report from 2005 to 2014 and the CBS talk program The Late Show with Stephen Colbert beginning in September 2015.

Tickets are on sale now online or at the Ryan Center Box Office.

Mobile Tickets: 

New this year all tickets for Ryan Center events will now be mobile. Check out our Mobile Ticketing Page which offers step-by-step guides with screenshots on how to download your ticket as well as answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

  • It is extremely important to download all of your tickets to your mobile wallet in advance of your event.
  • Mobile tickets can only be scanned from your mobile device. Printed copies of mobile tickets ARE NOT able to be scanned at the gate.
  • Make sure the brightness on your phone is turned all the way up.
  • Have your ticket pulled up on your mobile device as you approach the entrance

Vaccine Policy: 

  • Per the University of Rhode Island's current public indoor event guidelines and at the artists request all patrons ages 12 and older will now be required to show PRINTED proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a VALID/ACTIVE URI STUDENT OR EMPLOYEE I.D. to attend this event at the Ryan Center unless they are under 12 years of age and are ineligible due to their age.
  • Printed proof of vaccination will be required at doors to the event NO EXCEPTIONS (including Medical, Religious, or Negative Covid Test) per the University of Rhode Island Policy.
  • Mask wearing will be required at all times regardless of vaccination status except while actively eating and/or drinking.
  • Limited concessions will be available for food and non-alcoholic beverages to purchase
  • Please Note: Entry requirements and venue protocols are subject to change.

Mask Policy:

Effective immediately (8.13.21), in accordance with the University of Rhode Island and the State of Rhode Island, the Ryan Center is updating its health guidelines to include universal indoor masking for all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to our building, regardless of vaccination status. This measure is consistent with an announcement by the State of Rhode Island that everyone entering a state facility, both visitors and employees, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a face covering, unless they have a documented medical reason for an exemption.

The Ryan Center & Spectra Venue Management will continue to follow the data closely and monitor developments and act in accordance with policies set for by the University of Rhode Island and the State of Rhode Island. Please continue to check back for any changes to this policy.
