Where can I find information about renting or booking the Ryan Center?

For inquiries about renting the Ryan Center, please call the management office at 401.788.3247. More information can be found on our Promoters Guide page for venue rental and on our Meeting Space page for individual room rentals.

How early prior to an event do doors open?

For the majority of events held at the Ryan Center, doors open 1 hour prior to the start of the vent. For URI Men's and Women's Basketball games, our lobbies open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off with full arena access 1 hour prior to tip-off.


*For special exceptions or early entries, notice will always be made on our website and on social media or can be found by calling our box office at 401.788.3021.

Am I able to leave and come back once an event has started?

Patrons who leave the Ryan Center during an event will not be allowed back into the building unless another ticket is purchased. If you must leave for an emergency, please speak to a ticket taker at the main entrance prior to leaving the building if you wish to be re-admitted.

Do children need a ticket to attend events?

All individuals two years of age or older must posses a valid ticket for entry into the Ryan Center. A Child under two years of age is admitted free of charge for all events, provided that the child sits on the patron’s lap. Occasionally, a family show, (i.e., Harlem Globetrotters, the Circus, etc.) will require a children younger than two years old to purchase a ticket.

Do I have to pay to park at the Ryan Center?

Parking is FREE at the Ryan Center. However, for various events, we do offer VIP Parking in the Ram Lot. Please see our Parking page for more information.

Is photography allowed?

Policies vary by event. However, cameras with professional lenses, detachable lenses or detachable flashes are prohibited inside the Ryan Center. The Event Promoter reserves the right to deny camera use at any time during or before the event and to prohibit the use of any camera that is deemed unacceptable. Use of video cameras, audio recording devices and digital cameras in video mode is strictly prohibited in the arena. The use of any of these items will result in confiscation and possible ejection from the arena.

What items are not allowed inside the Ryan Center during events?

Prohibited Items inside the Ryan Center include, but are not limited to:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
  • Animals (other than service animals)
  • Bags/containers larger than one cubic foot (including student backpacks)
  • Banners, sticks, clubs, or flag poles
  • Bota bags or wine skins
  • Confetti
  • Cameras or recording devices (varies by event)
  • Fireworks, firearms, or other weapons
  • Glass bottles or aluminum cans
  • Ice chests (coolers) or thermos containers
  • Illegal substances
  • Inflatable items (such as helium balloons or beach balls)
  • Laser pointers
  • Noise-makers (including natural and artificial)
  • Outside food and beverage including containers
  • Skateboards or roller blades
  • Sticks or clubs (including signs attached to sticks)
  • Stools or folding chairs
  • Water bottles or mugs
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Items whose contents can not be inspected or displayed

Patrons attempting to bring any prohibited item into the Ryan Center will be asked to return that item to his or her vehicle. Arena management reserves the right to inspect & remove any items. Check-In Services is not available for any items.

Where do I go if I lost an item during an event?

Ryan Center management assumes no responsibility of items lost or damaged at events. The Ryan Center lost and found is located at the Guest Services window located near the Main Ticket Office in the North Lobby. When Guest Services is closed, inquiries may be made at the Box Office window in the North Lobby. To inquire about a lost item by phone, please call 401-788-3200 (Prompt #1 for Box Office and then #5 to speak to a representative).

Is the facility wheelchair accessible?

The Ryan Center is accessible to all guests. All guest entrances are wheelchair accessible. The center features accessible seating and companion seating at all levels, convenient disability parking located in the Ram Lot outside the North Lobby, and assistive listening devices. Patrons requiring assistance should contact the Ryan Center in advance of their visit.
